The Archdiocese of Boston has issued the following statement regarding safety precautions at Masses:
“All parishes are mandated to have clearly marked, clearly communicated, and clearly enforced areas of the Church for people who want to wear masks and be sitting only near people who are wearing masks.”
Our Socially Distanced – Mask Required Area
St. Francis of Assisi is the ‘CVS’ side wing of the church starting at the front pew.
St. Clare on the Tabernacle side of the church starting at the break and going forward.
At this point masks are not required for any vaccinated person. If you wish to wear a mask, but don’t feel the need to socially distance, you may sit anywhere in the church.
The Archdiocese of Boston will remain closely in touch with Governor Baker’s office, and will adjust these protocols, if necessary, in response to any change in the State mandates.
Please see the link below for a letter from Cardinal Sean O’Malley regarding the lifting of the dispensation of the Sunday and Holy Day Mass obligation.
As our patron saints, Saint Clare and Saint Francis, worked in unity to build the Church, our collaborative with pastoral guidance will continually grow and evolve while accepting all where they are on their faith journey.
